President's Message 

Greetings and welcome to the virtual home of the Upsilon Omicron Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.

It has been an honor to serve as President of this unique and ubiquitous chapter—affectionately known as The South Bend Zetas. For nearly two decades, our members have poured their hearts, hands, and talents into the St. Joseph County community, carrying forward a legacy built on purpose, service, and sisterhood.

For more than 106 years, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated has championed meaningful change—advocating for education, supporting families, promoting health and wellness, and strengthening communities across the globe. Upsilon Omicron Zeta is honored to contribute to this legacy through impactful programs, national partnerships, and annual support of initiatives such as March of Dimes, Breast Cancer Awareness, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Our Founders, five visionary women, gifted us with principles that continue to guide our path: Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. These ideals are not simply words—they are the heartbeat of every Zeta Graduate and Undergraduate chapter. They shape how we serve, how we lead, and how we uplift the communities entrusted to our care.

Locally, chartered on December 12, 2005,  our chapter was established to meet a need—an opportunity to bring Zeta’s light, leadership, and love to South Bend and the surrounding areas. As we celebrate 20 years of dedicated service, we stand proudly on their shoulders, continuing the work they began with unwavering commitment.

As I prepare to conclude my term, the continued focus will remain to ensure that our chapter is poised for continued growth, deeper community partnerships, and renewed energy in membership recruitment and retention. Together, we will keep building a chapter that thrives on innovation, collaboration, and the shared belief that service is a calling we answer with joy.
